No worries. All I did was recompile it with Visual Studio 6, which uses an older version of the C++ redistributables. I still think you are missing a DLL somewhere.

Ken I downloaded the new BB version OK but I can not file my pirep because I have not entered the username and password (forgotten) nor do I know the right url's to enter in the settings
ps I have uninstalled the old BB - where can I find the information I need thanks for your help

Thanks for posting that. Guys, if you are installing the update, there is no need to uninstall the old version, just overwrite it and your setting should be saved. John, I'll send you your login info in a pm.

I'm having a problem with black box. Don't really know what happened, but as of last week it only displays "nil" for depture and arrival airports. I didn't change anything that I know of. Should I re install or is there some setting I inadvertantly changed.

Try reinstalling the newest version of FSUIPC and see if that helps.

Thanks, but I got it. I had to re install blackbox, but only worked after a registry cleaning.

I am getting an error when i start the black box exe

it says for Status: Cannot link to FSUIPC or WideClient

do i need to have wideclient installed??
